New video: Textures of Winter

Music: The Lark Ascending, performed by Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, composed by R. Vaughn Williams.

On one cold December morning, the sun arose to reveal a beautiful frosted landscape behind my family's home. I just had to capture the scenery, and I could think of no other musical piece but this one whilst I was filming.

Technical stuff:

Gear:

  • Panasonic GX7
  • 77mm Hama Variable ND
  • 77mm Tiffen Ultra Contrast 3 (for one shot only)
  • Tokina AT-X Pro 80-200mm f2.8
  • Metabones Speed Booster Nikon to Micro Four Thirds
  • Hahnel Triad 30 Tripod
  • Picture settings: Standard picture profile with -5 everything and -5 highlight curve. Low iDynamic range. Some of the shots may have had the settings tweaked slightly.

Most of this video is completely ungraded because the colours and tonality were already as good as I wanted.

I would not recommend this tripod. It shakes for a few seconds after making any movement on the camera (including pressing the shutter button). And if you have a heavy load on there (over 1kg) you can not get a stable angled shot.
